How the daily puzzle works
Each day's haystack is built from that day's date, so a player in Tokyo and a player in Toronto are searching identical straws for a needle in the identical spot. You get one official time per day. When you find it, the game gives you a short result you can paste into a chat or a post:

It shows your time and streak, and nothing about where the needle was, so friends can still play it fresh.
Daily rules
- 1,000,000 straws, one needle.
- A hint becomes available after 30 seconds. Each hint adds 30 seconds to your time.
- New puzzle at 00:00 UTC.
- Your streak counts consecutive days with a find.

When does the daily haystack change?
Every day at midnight UTC. The puzzle number goes up by one each day.
Is the needle in the same place for everyone?
Yes. The haystack is generated from the date, so every player worldwide gets the same straws and the same needle location.
Can I replay today's puzzle?
You get one official time per day, like Wordle. You can keep playing Classic modes as much as you like.
How does the streak work?
Find the needle on consecutive days to grow your streak. Miss a day and it resets to one. Streaks are saved in your browser.
